To help you remember the product for these multiplication pairs, follow the steps below:
Place all the Factor Cards in order on the left side with the Front side face up
as shown above.
Mix up the Product Cards and place them on the right side with the Front
side face up.
The goal is to place the products next to their appropriate factors.
When you are finished, turn your cards over. If the numbers on the back
match, your answers are correct. If not, keep trying until you have
reached your goal.
For more of a challenge, try it again. But this time, set a timer for three minutes or less. Decrease the amount of time for each round to improve your speed.

1 x 1 = 1 4 x 4 = 16 7 x 7 = 49
2 x 2 = 4 5 x 5 = 25 8 x 8 = 64
3 x 3 = 9 6 x 6 = 36 9 x 9 = 81
When 5 is a factor, the product will either end in 0 or 5.
When 9 is a factor, the product is reversed after mutliplying times 5.
1 x 9 = 9
2 x 9 = 18
3 x 9 = 27
4 x 9 = 36
5 x 9 = 45
6 x 9 = 54
7 x 9 = 63
8 x 9 = 72
9 x 9 = 81
When you add the digits in the products together, you get the number 9.
1 x 9 = 9 09 (0 + 9 = 9)
2 x 9 = 18 18 (1 + 8 = 9)
3 x 9 = 27 27 (2 + 7 = 9)
4 x 9 = 36 36 (3 + 6 = 9)
5 x 9 = 45 45 (4 + 5 = 9), and so on...
6 x 9 = 54
7 x 9 = 63
8 x 9 = 72
9 x 9 = 81
1 x 5 = 5
2 x 5 = 10
3 x 5 = 15
4 x 5 = 20
5 x 5 = 25 The midpoint contains 3 fives.
6 x 5 = 30
7 x 5 = 35
8 x 5 = 40
9 x 5 = 45
54 is the reverse of 45
63 is the reverse of 36
72 is the reverse of 27
81 is the reverse of 81
Familiarize yourself with the following multiplication facts. Review these facts everyday until you can say and write them without having to think about them.
Here Are 100 Multiplication Facts
Write the multiplication pairs on cards using either typing paper or
construction paper. If you use construction paper, use two different colors. One color will contain the factors, and the other color will contain the products.
Example:
(Product Cards on the right)
(Factor Cards on the left)
When 3 is a factor times numbers 1 through 12, the digits in the product will equal 3, 6, and 9 repeatedly when added together.
1 x 3 = 3
2 x 3 = 6
3 x 3 = 9
4 x 3 = 12
5 x 3 = 15
6 x 3 = 18
7 x 3 = 21
8 x 3 = 24
9 x 3 = 27
10 x 3 = 30
11 x 3 = 33
12 x 3 = 36
3 + 0 = 3
6 + 0 = 6
9 + 0 = 9
1 + 2 = 3
1 + 5 = 6
1 + 8 = 9
2 + 1 = 3
2 + 4 = 6
2 + 7 = 9
3 + 0 = 3
3 + 3 = 6
3 + 6 = 9
