How to Develop Good Study Habits
Read articles, if any, that are pertaining to the topic you are studying. Articles may be found in either newspapers or online news.
Read the notes you have taken during class along with your assigned textbook lessons.
Start writing a 1 - 2 page essay at least once a week. The purpose of writing an essay:
- Develops your sentence structure
- Enhances the mechanics of your writing
Write your essay for fifteen minutes to practice writing with a time limit.
Read editorials in newspapers or business magazines to help you understand how thoughts are organized and written.
Pay close attention to the general message of the text and its sentence
structure.
Create flashcards for terms and definitions that are unfamiliar to you.
